These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Belova.
Belova is operated by BELOVA LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17396124, with its registered office at 4th Floor, 14 Museum Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BH, United Kingdom.
In these Terms, "Belova", "we", "us" and "our" refer to BELOVA LTD.
By creating an account or using Belova, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, you should not use Belova.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information and is available separately on the Belova website.
1. What Belova is
Belova is a social activity platform designed to help people discover, create and join real-world plans and activities with other people.
Users can:
- discover activities and plans;
- create and host plans;
- join plans created by other users;
- share information about themselves and their interests; and
- connect with people through shared activities.
Belova provides the technology that allows users to find and organise plans.
Unless a plan is expressly identified as being organised directly by Belova, Belova is not the organiser, host, venue or provider of the activity itself.
2. Who can use Belova
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or use Belova.
By using Belova, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18;
- the information you provide is accurate;
- you are legally able to agree to these Terms; and
- you will use Belova in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
You may not create an account on behalf of somebody else without their permission.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and authentication credentials.
You must provide accurate information and keep relevant account information reasonably up to date.
You must not:
- impersonate another person;
- create deliberately misleading profiles;
- allow another person to use your account in a way that breaches these Terms; or
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us as soon as possible.
Belova currently supports authentication methods including email and, where available, third-party sign-in providers such as Google and Apple.
4. Creating and hosting plans
Users may create plans for activities they would like other Belova users to join.
If you create a plan, you are the Host of that plan.
Hosts are responsible for ensuring that the information provided about a plan is accurate and not misleading, including where relevant:
- the activity;
- date and time;
- approximate location;
- expected or estimated spend;
- participant capacity;
- experience or ability requirements;
- equipment requirements; and
- any other important information participants reasonably need to know.
Hosts should update or cancel a plan promptly if circumstances change.
You must not create plans that are unlawful, deliberately dangerous, fraudulent, misleading or intended to facilitate prohibited behaviour.
5. Joining plans
Joining a plan indicates that you intend to participate, but it does not create an employment, partnership, agency or other formal relationship between you, the Host or Belova.
Before joining an activity, you should consider whether the activity is appropriate for you, including its physical demands, location, equipment requirements and other relevant risks.
If you can no longer attend, you should leave or withdraw from the plan where that functionality is available so the Host and other participants have accurate information.
6. Meeting points and location information
For safety and privacy, Belova may restrict exact meeting-point information until a user has joined a plan.
Before joining, users may only see information such as:
- the general area;
- city; and
- approximate distance from the activity.
After joining, authorised participants may receive the exact meeting point and relevant meeting information.
You must not misuse another user's location or meeting-point information, publish private meeting information without a legitimate reason, or use location information to harass, monitor or endanger another person.
Our handling of location and personal information is explained further in our Privacy Policy.
7. Estimated spend and payments
Where a plan displays an Estimated Spend, this is intended only to help users understand roughly how much participating in the activity may cost.
It is not a fee charged by Belova to join the plan.
For example, an estimated spend may reflect the expected cost of:
- coffee or food;
- venue entry;
- a round of golf;
- equipment hire;
- activity tickets; or
- similar third-party expenses.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Belova does not currently process payments for joining user-created plans.
Any payments made directly to venues, activity providers or other third parties are between you and that third party.
If users independently agree to share activity costs, that arrangement is between those users. Belova does not guarantee payment, reimbursement or repayment between users.
8. Cancellations and changes
Hosts may edit or cancel plans.
A plan may also be cancelled or removed by Belova where reasonably necessary, including for safety, legal, moderation or platform-integrity reasons.
Users should check plan details before travelling or incurring costs.
Belova cannot guarantee that another user will attend a plan, that a Host will proceed with a plan, or that a third-party venue or provider will remain available.
Nothing in this section affects any legal rights you may have against a third-party provider where applicable.
9. Verification
Belova may offer verification features, including verification of information such as:
- email address;
- mobile number; or
- additional Belova verification checks.
A verification badge means only that the relevant verification process has been completed.
Verification is not a guarantee of a user's identity, character, intentions, reliability or safety and is not an endorsement by Belova.
Users should continue to exercise reasonable judgement when interacting with other people.
10. Safety and real-world activities
Meeting people through Belova involves real-world interaction and may involve risks that Belova cannot completely control.
You are responsible for making reasonable decisions about your own participation.
We strongly encourage users to:
- meet in appropriate public places where practical;
- tell somebody they trust where they are going;
- assess activities according to their own experience and ability;
- use appropriate equipment;
- follow venue and activity-provider rules;
- avoid participating where they feel unsafe; and
- leave an activity if they become uncomfortable.
For activities involving greater physical risk, such as hiking, wild swimming, cycling, climbing or water sports, users should consider weather, conditions, equipment, experience and appropriate safety precautions.
Belova is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services.
11. Behaviour on Belova
Belova is intended to help people connect through genuine social activities.
You must treat other users with reasonable respect.
You must not use Belova to:
- threaten, abuse, harass or intimidate another person;
- discriminate unlawfully against another person;
- stalk or monitor another person;
- facilitate violence or criminal activity;
- sexually harass another person;
- exploit or deceive another user;
- scam or defraud users;
- impersonate another person;
- promote hatred or illegal content;
- distribute malware or malicious code;
- collect other users' personal information without a legitimate reason;
- repeatedly contact somebody who has made it clear they do not want contact;
- publish another person's private information without permission;
- create deliberately false or misleading plans; or
- otherwise use the service unlawfully.
Belova is a social activity platform and must not be used primarily to target, pressure or harass users for romantic or sexual purposes.
12. Illegal and harmful content
Users must not upload, publish, share or use Belova to facilitate content or conduct that is illegal under applicable law.
We may use proportionate systems, processes, reporting mechanisms and moderation measures to reduce the risk of illegal activity occurring through Belova.
Where we become aware of content or activity that breaches these Terms or applicable law, we may take action including:
- removing or restricting content;
- removing plans;
- limiting functionality;
- suspending accounts;
- terminating accounts;
- preserving relevant information where legally required; and
- reporting matters to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.
Our response will depend on the nature and seriousness of the issue.
13. Reporting, blocking and safety concerns
Belova may provide functionality allowing users to report users, plans or other content and to block other users.
Where in-app reporting or blocking functionality is available, you should use those tools where appropriate.
You may also contact us about safety, moderation or conduct concerns at:
Please provide enough information for us to understand and assess the issue.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary.
Reports made in good faith will not result in action against the reporting user merely because the report is ultimately not upheld.
Deliberately false or malicious reports may themselves breach these Terms.
14. User content
You retain ownership of content that you create and upload to Belova, such as:
- profile information;
- photographs;
- plan descriptions; and
- other user-generated material.
You give Belova a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and technically adapt that content where reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide Belova.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Belova.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights to upload content you provide and that doing so does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights.
If you delete content or your account, copies may remain temporarily in secure backups or where retention is required for legal, safety or legitimate operational reasons, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
15. Belova intellectual property
The Belova name, branding, logos, software, interface, design and other materials owned by Belova are protected by intellectual-property laws.
You may use Belova only for its intended personal use unless we expressly agree otherwise.
You may not:
- copy or reproduce substantial parts of Belova;
- reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it;
- use Belova branding in a misleading way;
- falsely suggest an affiliation with Belova; or
- commercially exploit Belova's intellectual property without permission.
16. Third-party services
Belova may contain links to or integrate with third-party services, including mapping, authentication, venues, websites and activity providers.
Third parties operate independently from Belova and may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Belova is not responsible for third-party services simply because they are linked to or accessible through Belova.
17. Availability of Belova
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee that Belova will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available.
We may occasionally:
- maintain the service;
- fix bugs;
- introduce or remove features;
- make security changes; or
- temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary.
We will take reasonable care in providing the service.
18. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Belova provides a platform through which users independently arrange activities.
Unless Belova expressly states that it is itself organising an activity, we are not responsible for controlling or supervising the conduct of Hosts, participants, venues or third-party activity providers.
We do not guarantee:
- that another user will attend;
- that information supplied by another user is always accurate;
- that a particular user is suitable for you to meet;
- that an activity will proceed;
- that an activity is risk-free; or
- the quality of goods or services supplied by a third party.
We remain responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill where the law requires us to be.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
19. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe this is necessary because:
- these Terms have been breached;
- the account creates a safety or security risk;
- fraudulent or unlawful activity is suspected;
- another user's rights need to be protected;
- we are required to do so by law; or
- continued access would materially threaten Belova or its users.
Where appropriate, we may provide information about the reason for our decision and any available review or complaint process.
Serious or urgent safety issues may require immediate action.
You may stop using Belova at any time.
You may request deletion of your account by contacting Belova. Where in-app account deletion functionality is available, you may also delete your account through the functionality provided within Belova.
20. Changes to Belova and these Terms
Belova will continue to develop over time.
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- new features;
- changes to how Belova operates;
- legal or regulatory requirements; or
- safety and security developments.
Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to users' attention.
The latest version will always show the date it was last updated.
21. Privacy
Our use of personal information is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, available on the Belova website.
The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and protected and the rights available to users.
22. Complaints and contacting us

23. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections available under the laws applicable where you live.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from relying on legal rights that cannot lawfully be restricted by contract.
24. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement between you and Belova regarding your use of the service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
